Mission and vision

Founded in 2020 by crypto enthusiasts, Kanberry’s vision was to build global most convenient payment and remittance company based on crypto products. Moreover, we aimed to provide full range of exchange services related to STABLECoins to support and facilitate e-commerce payments.

Business model

As a core element of our business model we work with STABLECoins only. We do so because we believe that STABLECoins being backed with a 1:1 ratio to traditional currencies deliver a best tool for payments. We care about our customer payment sustainability and avoid any volatile assets.

We work exclusively with corporate clients specifically from payment sector and with other digital exchange providers. This B2B model allows us to concentrate on our products, develop them to the best of professional excellence and deliver to customer individual expectations.

A “STABLECoin” is a type of cryptocurrency whose value is tied to an outside asset, such as the U.S. dollar or gold, to stabilize the price.

A STABLECoin is a cryptocurrency designed to have low price volatility. STABLECoins are used as stores of value or units of account, as well as in other use cases where volatile cryptocurrencies may be less desirable. Different STABLECoins use different strategies to achieve price stability, some are centralised, others are decentralised.

Currently Kanberry deals with STABLECoins USDT, USDC and BUSD only. We continuously work on improvements and the list potentially could be extended.

USDT is a blockchain-based cryptocurrency whose coins in circulation are backed by an equivalent amount of United States Dollars (USD), which are held in a designated bank account. It has a 1:1 ratio with USD. This means that 1 USDT is approximately 1 USD at all times. USDT is issued and supported by Tether International Limited. USDT is released on the Bitcoin blockchain through Protocol Omni.

USD Coin (USDC) is a digital STABLECoin, backed by fully reserved assets, redeemable on a 1:1 basis for US dollars, and governed by Centre, a membership-based STABLECoins consortium. USDC runs on the Ethereum blockchain.

Binance USD (BUSD) is a 1:1 USD-backed STABLECoin issued by Binance (in partnership with Paxos), Approved and regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), It is a digital fiat currency, issued as ERC-20 (Ethereum) and supports BEP-2 (Binance chain standard).

Once your company is registered with Kanberry, you will be prompted to submit a set of documents for identification and verification purposes before we allow you to open and operate your account. There are two groups of documents:

  1. Company related documents: Certificate of Incorporation, Articles of Association, National Registry Extract, list of Beneficiary Owners, Directors and Signatories. All the above may change dependent on a jurisdiction where your company is formed.
  2. Personal documents related to individuals that own, manage and will be contacting/transacting with Kanberry: Photo proof of Identity, proof of residency and CV.
  3. Kanberry reserves its right to ask for additional documents such as proof of funds sources etc. for enhanced due diligence at its own discretion.

After checking and verifying the submitted documents Kanberry decides on your suitability to become a Kanberry customer. At this point in time Kanberry sends out a confirmation of your verification.

We are keen to process your KYC documents within three working days upon their submission. However, it might be subject to an extended document communication dependent on whether you have all required documents ready, translated and prepared. It might take more time also because of our decision to proceed with an enhanced due diligence procedure. On average, verification is being completed within one week counting from your profile submission.

Tariffs and fees are subject to an individual bilateral agreement between Kanberry and its customer. We are flexible with charges, however always take into account anticipated tokenisation and redemption volumes. Our tariffs will be adjusted based on your fact turnover upon completion of an initial period of one-three months of trade. We also reserve a right to set up minimum/maximum limits for our customers based on risk factors involved.

Currently only wire Bank transfers to Kanberry Bank account are available. We believe that a traditional way of settlement is the most reliable and allows us effectively identify payers as our approved customers. We also work on card deposit schemes that will be available in a foreseeable future.

OUR PRODUCTS

KANBERRY TRANSACTION SERVICE (KTS)

Kanberry offers payment service based on stablecoin Ethereum blockchain – the company signature service and attached software products. KTS is designed for online companies (merchants or Customers) who sell various online services, marketplaces, forex trade, crypto exchanges, online gaming and betting services targeted for individuals. If your company currently receives or willing to receive payments from VISA/MC cardholders and interested in real-time payments conversion into STABLECOINs – you are on track.


TOKENISATION

refers to a purchase of digital currencies (tokens) against FIAT money. FIAT money stands for any kind of sovereign regular currency that could be deposited to your Kanberry Account. Once a replenishment of your Kanberry account is finalized and you see your deposit through the API you may get a quote and place an order with Kanberry for STABLECoin purchase. Once this operation is completed your monies areconsidered to be tokenized.

REDEMPTION

refers to a sell of digital currencies (tokens) against FIAT money. Tokens might be any kind of USDT, USDC or BUSD STABLECoins or their combination deposited to your Kanberry Account. When tokens appear on your wallet addresses held with Kanberry  and you see your crypto deposit through the API, you may get a quote and place an order with Kanberry for STABLECoin sell. Once this operation is completed your tokens  are considered to be redeemed.

REMITTANCES

refer to a service that accepts instructions from customers to transfer money or property to arecipient and completes them. Currently Kanberry has a limited capacity forsuch services until it receives an AUSTRAC registration as Money Remittance Service Provider. However, some specific business arrangements are available in case they are directly related or derive from exchange services.
